Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I have always loved this holiday and have always tried to make it special for my children. Of course, we always had the traditional Easter baskets, egg coloring, new dresses and Easter egg hunts but I always tried to share the real meaning of the holiday with them.

So this year, we are doing it with our Littles. Three of them will be here to help us celebrate and we will still color eggs, have Easter baskets, hunt for eggs and they already have their new Easter outfits, but I want to try to help them understand the significance of the day even though they are almost 4, 2 1/2 and almost 5 months old.

So I found the following story (pgs.30-31) of "The Life of Jesus Christ" that I printed off and am cutting up to put together for them and it becomes a cute little 2' X 2" book. It's a simple rendition of the story of Christ's life and the resurrection. I also found this sweet story (pgs.10-11) that I printed off for them. It's called "Candy or Kindness". Hopefully they will begin to understand the importance of this sacred holiday and understand that chocolate and eggs are just for fun.

I am so thankful for the life of Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and without Him, I would be nothing. Through His death I can have life. I love Him and pray that I may try to emulate Him in all of my actions and deeds. I am humbled to celebrate this holiday and hope and pray that all of my Christian friends have a most wonderful Easter!
